Curbed Detroit: Residency Exhibition

"Often times, a visit to the Red Bull House of Art occurs on a busy night, making your way through the cavernous halls and the crowds to see the artwork. Curbed visited the gallery a week before their next exhibition to see the work in progress.

Artists Beau Stanton, Lala Abaddon, and Coby​ Kennedy have lived and worked in Eastern Market for the last three months in an art residency to prepare for this latest exhibit.

Stanton has been working on mosaics made from found objects. He gained inspiration from Detroit landmarks such as the Fisher and Guardian Buildings. He’ll have some larger installations weighing in at over 100 pounds, plus a maze/labyrinth floor installation."
